'Tis the season...

Thanksgiving has long passed, but I never got a chance to post them on here. We went to Trev's grandma's house this year. It was really fun just relaxing and hanging out with his side of the family. Landin had fun with his cousins Nolan, Paige and Caleb.

We also went to Sam and Olivia's birthday party at the beginning of December at a jump house. It was really fun and Landin loved sliding down the large slides.

Landin loved these little girls!

Finally, we bought and decorated a live Christmas tree. Landin really likes Christmas trees this year along with everything else Christmas (santa, presents, cookies, reindeer).

I have been MIA-for good reasons

As I thought when I started the credential program I would be busy! The lack of love for my blog shows just how busy I have been. I finally got a day off school today (Thanks to the Veterans!) and I am taking full advantage.

Here are some recent pictures!

The End of Summer

Summer is coming to an end very quick. I just finished Summer school this past week. I got an A in my art class, which was actually a lot of fun. I start the credential program in 2 weeks! Eek! Trev went to Raging Waters with his sister's family a week or so ago. He said Landin loved the water slides and had a lot of fun with his cousins. I didn't go, so I don't have pictures. :-/ Today we went to Universal Studios with my brother's family. I haven't been since I was really young. I really liked it, and I think Landin did too! The highlight was probably the Waterworks show, which had a lot of water (duh!), explosions, fire, seadoos, and a plane that flew in and landed. It was pretty awesome and Landin watched the whole time! Samantha didn't like at much and cried a couple times, but she is a girl. I don't expect her to like that kind of stuff. We also saw Dora the Explorer!!! Landin even fed her a cheez-it! How cute is that?! Finally, we saw an animal show that consisted of rats, cats, dogs, birds, and monkeys. Landin didn't make it through the show, but Samantha loved it!! I guess thats just the difference between boys and girls! In all it was a good day!

Alright, well for the next 2 weeks I am on vacation mode. I'm going to soak up my days off because I won't have any once the quarter starts!!

Final art project!

Landin's Birthday Party

We had Landin's birthday on August 14th at Trevir's sister's house. They were so nice to let us use their house and they even decorated and helped out a lot! They have a pool, which Landin loves! They also have a Little Tikes jump house that the kids loved. It was a perfect little party that was easy-going and relaxing. Having the two families together is always fun. My Damma couldn't be there, but she made the best Spongebob cake I have ever seen before she left for Florida. In all it was a great successful party. Maybe we will go all out next year....we'll see!

Life is crazy, but oh so sweet!

I started summer school last week; an art class twice a week for 6 hours each day. There is a ton of work and no time. Landin's birthday is this coming weekend at my sister-in-law's house. I still need to buy pretty much everything for it! The weekend after Landin's birthday Trevir is leaving for Connecticut for a WEEK! I hope I will survive. Trev's mom will be helping out with Landin since I work really late and can't pick him up from any sort of babysitter at 1am! Hopefully after Trev gets back things calm down a little bit around here, at least until I start the Credential Program at the end of September!

For the next few weeks I am just going to remember to breath and look for the little things that make the day enjoyable.

Our New Family Member!

YES! We got a new puppy! Her name is Emmi and she is a Newfoundland. She was born on March 12, 2010. We got her on July 5th, and she is such a sweetheart! Landin is absolutely in love with her. She is very calm and is fitting in very well, even though our dogs may say differently.... Dotti surprisingly likes Emmi and is actually playing with her. Dotti is still a hoarder of toys and prefers not to share, but she is learning. Yogi is a whole different story. He is our special child. As most of you know he does not like Landin, so we have to keep him separated already. Well, now with Emmi he has to be further separated until we can get them acquainted. I am thinking it will be a long slow process. I don't want to push him too fast. So, we may be crazy, but we love her so far!! We are are super happy that Landin has a dog that likes him and allows him to pet it.

Summer, Summer, Summer Time!!!!

Yay! My summer vacation started today! I have one more class to take that starts in August, then the credential program starts in Fall. I don't have that much longer until I am done! For the next month and a half I will soaking up every minute with Landin. He is going to get so sick of me by the time I go back to school, but I have a lot of catching up to do. I also plan to clean this house of ours. I have been slacking on a lot the past few months. I wish we had money for a cleaning lady. I wish we had money for a lot of things, so until then I will get my butt busy!

There is so much I can say about Landin. He is talking soo much now! He can pretty much say anything you tell him to say. He is showing a lot of personality with his funny little expressions and voice. He runs like a mad man, plays hard, and is ALL boy. He takes so many risks throughout the day. I guess thats how he learns right? Oh! The other day I was making french toast while he was of course right under me. He climbed up unto the stove and looked at the skillet. I told him it was hot which he knows very well. Right then he TOUCHED the skillet. Instantly he backed off and started rubbing his fingers while saying hot. I told him!! Just one of those things I guess happens to all kids. Dang kid. He will probably do it again if he gets the chance.

Other than his development he LOVES Mack (Cars), Buzz (Toy Story), Dotti & Arlo (dogs), Meows (cats), trucks (of all sorts), Bobbob (Spongebob), Diego (Go Diego Go), and so much more.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their summer!

New Haircut

Landin received his first haircut this past week! It was getting to long and stringy we thought it was time. We took him to this cute place in Rancho Cucamonga called Cool Cuts 4 Kids. He got to sit in a little car AND watch Dora. Sounds like a great time huh?? NO! He screamed and cried the whole time. It was horrible! I felt horrible for the hair dresser, but she assured us that it was normal. She managed to cut his hair and make it look good with all of his up and down movements. The moment she was done and he was given a sucker he was all smiles. Dang kid! I don't think it was worth $20. From now on we will probably ask my Damma to cut his hair.

This weekend, as I'm typing, Landin is with Trev's grandparents for the weekend! Woo hoo! Trev and I went to Pachanga Friday night and lost money, then today we went wine tasting in Temecula and went out to Downtown Disney for dinner and Laker game at the ESPN restaurant. It has been very relaxing the past day and a half. Tomorrow we pick him up. It couldn't be a better Mother's Day gift!

Mental Spurt

Lately Landin has been surprising us daily. Just the other day while we were out shopping I was talking to Trev and happen to say seriously. The next thing I knew Landin was repeating it almost exactly!! Hearing a little toddler say seriously is soo funny! On top of that Landin can sorta say I love you, outside, up, down, Landin, Samantha (or Sam Sam), Dotti, mommy, daddy, bye-bye, cookie, tree, birdie,  juice, banky, Sponge Bob, gramma, baby, mine, truck, and no. Some of those he's been able to say for awhile now, but others just recently. He is really understanding a lot more now too. If you ask him questions he can say no (usually) or yea. I'm really impressed with him lately.

Other news: Trev is LOVING his job! He has finally found something he is good at and loves. Everybody he works with are so awesome and welcoming. This job is really just perfect for him! And for me, this Spring quarter starting in a week or so is my LAST quarter of regular classes! Yay!! I start my credential in Fall! I can't believe I am finally almost done. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can't express how excited I am for school to be over, but I know it's only going to get harder before it gets easy or simple.

Let me leave you with a little LOVE.

Update

Trev has officially started his new job and it is off to a great start!! He got a brand new Hyundai Sonata (pretty sweeet!), new laptop, printer, camera, and all sorts of other little gadgets. Everyone he works with is very nice and has been welcoming him to the team. This job has been exactly what he needed, and everything we hoped for! I am so proud of him and it still feels surreal that he has such a great job.

My insurance company has determined that my car was totaled and the check has already came in! They gave me a lot more than I thought for my little car. Because Trev just got his new car from Subway, we don't have to buy a new one! I am going to drive the Chevy Cobalt. I guess that all worked out pretty well, because I don't know what we would have done with 3 cars anyways.

Landin had his 18 month appt last week. He weighed 25 pounds, was 29-32* inches tall, and his head measured 48 cm. He only got one shot, which he did great with. All around everything was great and he is right on track! He is talking A LOT more now. He says mine, up, hot, mama, go, down, ki-cat, awesome, nigh-nigh, hi, bye, Spongebob (bob bob), and juice.

**We can't remember exactly how tall he was. I say 29, Trev says 32, so somewhere in there!

It's All About Landin

Trev is starting his job on March 1st! It has been so nice having him home more lately. I know Landin has loved hanging out with his Daddy. We got Landin's 18m pictures done last week, and we will be picking them up this weekend. They didn't come out that great, so next time (2 yr pics) we will be having a professional photographer take the pictures. Landin does not want to sit or stand still to have a picture taken by a total stranger in a little studio. Hopefully, the 2 yr pictures will be better! His 18m DR appt is on Friday. I'm hoping it will go smoothly, but i am doubting it. He will probably kick and scream when they give him a shot, thankfully Trev will be there with me! Here are some pics I have taken lately!!

New Job!!

Trevir was recently offered a new job!! He will be a Field Consultant for Subway Inc. His job duties are to go around to 40-50 stores and inspect them, discuss business with the franchise owners, and make sure they are all profitable. This job position is exactly what he likes to do. We are so excited that he will finally have a job that has freedom and growth. I am very proud of him and I am so excited!! He officially starts on March 1st, so I will let you all know how it goes. 2010 has had it's ups and downs so far, but as of now we are so happy and blessed!!

Car Accident

This past Friday I got into a car accident when coming home from work. I was driving on the freeway and it was raining. I must have hit a puddle and hydroplaned. I spun out and hit the center divider. Luckily, I didn't hit anyone else. After calling Trevir, my mom, and AAA a CHP officer shut down the 91 east and hopped into my barely alive car to drive it off the freeway. He managed to get it started after ripping off the shifter. (It was actually pretty funny in the middle of everything) Once I got off the freeway my parents showed up then Trev. Shortly after the AAA tow truck driver got there and towed my car to my parents where my car still sits. I am okay. My main injury was the 6-7 inch seatbelt burn across the left side of my neck and the weird burn mark on my right thumb from the air bag deploying, I think. Two days after I am just sore and have a huge mark on my neck that everyone notices. I know it could have been a lot worse though. I am thankful it was just me (not Landin) and no other cars were involved. Everyone has been very nice and worried about me. I think I may have given my mom a heart attack when I called her crying to tell her I had gotten into a car accident and I was okay, but then cut the call short to answer Trev's phone call. haha. My poor mom!

Time Flies

It has been a month since I have posted anything, and I can't believe it! Since I started working again in mid-December, the days all blend together. I got even busier when school started January 12th. My poor Landin has to go to a babysitter a few days a week now. It is always hard dropping him off for Trev and me. He clenches on to my legs and cries while trying to push out words he's not quite sure of yet. I still haven't figured out the best way to leave him. Do I sneak out and then have him realize I just left him without a word or a kiss OR do I say good-bye and give him kiss and turn my back and walk away as his little blue eyes pour down tears and his round face becomes as red as a tomato? Neither options sound great to me. Even though the departure is always the hardest part of my day, when I get back to pick him up he is always happy and playing. He obviously gets over it faster than I do.

Other than the babysitter drama, Landin is doing great! He has started talking more, saying things like hot, birdie, dog, uh-oh, no, yea, Landin, mama, ba-ba, and nigh nigh. He likes watching "Yo Gabba Gabba" and "Dora the Explorer" mostly. He recently got a couple molars (finally!), so now he has a total of 12 teeth (I think, he won't really let me check). He runs like crazy, throws his toys ACROSS the room, and hits people and dogs. He is my cute little monster!

**I'm on my new laptop, so I will post pictures when I get onto Trev's computer!
