Back to Normal

Landin's birthday party is over and it was a complete success! Thank-you to everyone that came and/or helped out! Landin had a few melt downs, but it was his party right?! He got a lot of great stuff and he loves playing with all of his new toys. Our house is pretty much back to normal, with the exception of a few loose ends. Nina (Josh's girlfriend) took pictures at the party and I will hopefully post those soon. On another note, I signed Landin up for Gymboree finally! We went this last Monday and he seemed to have a lot of fun. He did whine a couple times, but for the most part he was a good sport about it all. We will be going to one class a week and maybe some extra play times along the way. I'm sure once he gets used to it he will love it! I also went to his 1 year doctor appt on Aug 20th. He weighs 22 lbs. and is 29 in. tall! He is a healthy boy and the doctor still comments on how large his head is! He will grow into one day...won't he? Other than that I think Landin is starting to become attached to me because every time I leave the room he starts to whine and when we go to see new people or people he hasn't seen in a while he takes a while to warm up to them. Along with being attached to me though, he has become really close to Trevir too. School is going to start soon for me and I will be gone almost all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays and half day on Wednesdays, so he will get over the attachment. So that is about all as of right now! I will post pictures soon!

Landin is ONE!!!

Landin turned 1 yesterday! I can't believe it has already been a year since he was born. It went by soo fast for us! Landin is such a good boy and we have loved seeing him grow into the little handsome boy he is! He walks like crazy and can get up on his now! He eats all people food and drinks milk now! (No more formula!!) Landin has always loved music1, but now he stands up and "dances" his own little dance. He doesn't really talk yet, but every once in a while it sounds like he says things like No, Mama, Dada, or Doggie. Yesterday on his birthday we went out to dinner with my family to celebrate his, Cara's and my dad's birthday then we went back to my mom's house and had cake and pie! Today we are going to get his 1 year pictures done at JC Penneys. His birthday party is almost here! It is all very exciting! Here are some recent pics!

Finally Moved into New House!

We are finally all moved into our new house in Perris. The house has come a long way from where it started. Shawn and his parents help us paint almost the WHOLE house. My mom bought us a bunch of decorative stuff to make the house feel even more like it was our own. There are of course more little things we want to do, but in time it will all come together. Landin is officially walking!!!!! He was walking pretty good when we moved into the house on the 23rd, but now he is walking back and forth without falling. Today I put his Vans on that my mom bought yesterday and he walked in those, which was soooo cute! He is such a good boy! I bought our last two formula containers a few days ago. Once those are gone it is just milk for him! As for the bottle situation, I think it is going to be a bit harder to get him to stop drinking out of them. I'm not too worried about it though, he will do it in his own time. Thankfully, he can drink out of straws, bottle caps (sports kind), and these sippy cups I just bought that have a "silicone straw". We are well on our way! His birthday is going to be here soon enough and we are so excited for his birthday party! We hope to see you all there! I will post pictures soon!

Yay! New shoes!

The Last Month

It has been a while since I have posted anything, but we have been busy around here! We are moving next week on the 23rd, so I have been packing up the apartment while Trevir is still working looong hours at the tow yard. I worked a couple days the past few weeks, but I am officially done with work for now! After we move in I start school again on Aug. 3rd (ugh! Not looking forward to that!). Landin did get to experience his first 4th of July this month! He wore his patriotic outfit and we watched fireworks with Cara and Samantha. That was really fun, I haven't watched fireworks in so long. Landin watched a couple of them, but was more intrigued by the stuff and people around him and Sam fell asleep half way through. They both are so cute together. I can't wait until we add the other little addition, Olivia. Finally, Landin won't be the youngest! He will have someone to pick on like he has been picked on (in a loving way of course!) by all of his cousins. It will be very exciting! Also, we are planning Landin's 1st birthday party! It will be at our new house in Perris on Aug. 23rd (Sunday)at 1pm. I will be sending out invitations soon. His decorations are so cute! I am very excited about them, and I hope it all works out like I planned! This next week is going to get even more busy with us actually moving and getting settled!

**Landin Update: He has 4 teeth, 2 front top and bottom, he is standing on his own for longer period of time and is trying to take steps. He has successfully taken about 3 steps. He will be walking soon, we hope! Other than that he is just his normal cute, happy self!

Look Mom! I'm dirrrty!

The Past Week

This past week has been really tough. Landin starting getting a fever Saturday at Damma's and then really got worse on Sunday and my moms. I took his temperature that night and it was up to 103.5! I felt so bad. I gave him medication and gave him a bath to bring down the fever. I think it was from teething because I could see his two top teeth coming through. Poor guy! The fever finally broke around Tuesday or Wednesday. I was thankful that was gone, but right after he had a rash all over his body. By the way, we are in the middle of insurances for him right now. OF COURSE! Anyways, the rash worried me but he was acting fine otherwise. Yesterday (Thursday) he slept for 5 1/2 hours during the day! I thought this was crazy, but Trev was with him and knew he just didn't feel good. I made Trev wake him up after 5 1/2 hours of sleeping and Landin was actually looking better. I think he might of needed that good long sleep. Today, he has no rash, no fever, and is back to being his happy self! Yay! I have my little boy back! In between all of that we did fit in a trip to the San Diego Zoo!

My Plans

I have always thought about one day teaching Landin baby sign language, and now I am going to start! I bought a sign language book the other day and started reading it today. I think Landin has been ready for a while. He gestures for someone to pick him up, he points like crazy, and uses his hands in all sorts of ways. His cousin Sam already knows sign language and it's so cute! I can't wait for Landin to learn and show off his skills. Today we got his 9 months pictures done. They came out absolutely adorable!! I bought a cute outfit yesterday at Gymboree with matching shoes and then he wore swim trunks we got from Marissa. The lady was actually able to get a VERY cute picture of Landin in his swim trunks standing!! I couldn't believe that he stood on his own long enough for her to get a picture. The lady was actually pretty surprised too that he could stand so well at 9 1/2 months. We are so proud of our little guy.

I have much to update you all on!I know I say it every post, but Landin is getting so BIG! He can pull himself up to his feet and walk along anything he can hang on. He sometimes even lets go and stands there on his own! As I'm writing this Trevir is getting Landin to say "da da", which he can do. I swear when we come home and see Yogi and Dotti jumping all over us he can also say "dah-gee". He is so smart!!! AND he has his two bottom teeth, which you have all seen. Now he has his top left front tooth coming in slowly. Also, if you already didn't know George (Shawn's friend) offered Trevir a new job with his towing company! He really likes it so far and is doing well. Right now it is a little tough for me and Landin because he is away a lot, but we are dealing!

Look how good he is standing!

"My Mom Rules!" -Thank-you Landin!!

We went to the Dog Beach on Mother's Day!

He loved the Dog Beach and his red bucket! (Thanks Nana!)
